Lynn Tatemshy grew up with an imaginary friend who would take her on adventures in her dreams and sometimes she thought he was really there. As she grew older she expected the man of her dreams to disappear with her childhood but he didn’t, not until she was eighteen years old.
As time passes Lynn grows up, moves in with her best friend and gets a job. She thinks that her life is ordinary until her world is turned upside down one morning when she arrives at work and begins to feel ill. When she starts to walk home someone bumps into her and doesn’t even acknowledge it. She gets frustrated and decides to scream at the person, only to realize that he could feel her but he couldn’t see or hear her.
As she is screaming a person from the other side of the street acknowledges her and comes over to her faster then she thought humanly possible, he introduces himself as Shane when another girl named Raven shows up they take Lynn home and explain to her that she belongs in the Invisible World now.
Lynn has to leave her family, friends and life behind because she knows that there is no other choice. She goes with them back to their headquarters called Arden or “Home in the Mountains” Where she learns that she isn’t a normal “Invisible.”
As she struggles to find who she really is and the truth about her past she fights with her fear of being alone and her fear to fall in love. Along the way she discovers she has abilities beyond her imagination.
