Cherokee Jack's Reward: A Western Adventure by Jack Paxton
A British nobleman is gunned down by a couple of outlaws who escape to the Indian Territory. Deputy Marshal Cherokee Jack Johnson is assigned to bring them back. He is also assigned a partner, Willie Sullards, who is new to the Marshal business. Willie is a loose cannon who does things his own way.
The British Government offers a $5000 reward for the capture of the killers and their return to stand trial before the famous Hanging Judge Parker. Cherokee hopes to catch the killers and use the reward to buy a ranch and get out of the law business. Complications arise as The British Duke's widow hires Pinkerton agents to catch the killers, and the Duke's brother is a world-famous big game hunter who along with his equally famous  African hunting guide join in the hunt. They are also joined in the chase by numerous bounty hunters who are also after the reward.  Will Cherokee and Willie be able to capture the outlaws before the other pursuers, and if so, will they be able to fend off the many bounty hunter who would like to be able to take the prisoners away and collect the reward themselves? Will Cherokee Jack get his reward?
