Mandy, a devastated young nurse, leaves her home in Raleigh after her world is thrown into chaos on her wedding day. Mac, a stand-up comedian who receives more awkward looks than actual laughs, finally realizes that his dreams of fame and fortune are beyond his reach.

When disaster strikes outside a comedy club and Mac gets transferred to a small-town hospital where he meets an equally disheartened Mandy, his life completely changes. He says goodbye to meaningless work and finds his purpose again after being hired as the new therapy clown in Whispering Springs.

Despite their tempers running high when working alongside each other at the children’s center, Mandy and Mac soon begin to mend their broken hearts and discover that family sometimes is tied together not by blood, but by love.
