Doyen by M.M. Lackie, LeisurelyMe by Richa
The Commander was disciplined, loyal, and led the largest Specter fleet in the galaxy. He could not help what he was—needing humans for survival. He always had a fondness for them, and never took pleasure in harming them, but they were nourishment, nothing more.

The fiery human female who woke up in the cell next to him would test not only his patience but his fortitude. She had strength and spirit, unlike anything he had ever seen before, even among the females of his own kind. He would do what he could to help her find her people, but would he be able to resist her tumultuous nature? Or would he betray a lifetime of discipline and dedication, falling prey to a visceral part of himself he never expected?

Katlyn had always suspected that humans on Earth weren’t the only intelligent life in the universe. Then one day, she woke up in another galaxy, locked in a cell next to a creature that most on her world would deny existed. She couldn’t see his face; their only means of communication was through a barred window between them. The mysterious alien in the darkened cell was polite and courteous. He spoke of honor and loyalty, but he was a hunter—a predator.

She never was the “damsel in distress” type. She had no qualms about going toe to toe with any man, not even a seven-foot life-sucking alien, but the Commander was more than she was prepared to deal with, and she would have to trust the faceless creature in order to survive. Would she be able to get home? Or would she have to learn to live in a galaxy with people she knew nothing about, who feared a creature she had grown to admire?

Doyen is science fiction romance. There is no sex, but there are situations of a sexual nature.

This book is part of a series. It does have a happy ending, but some may consider it a cliffhanger. There is a teaser to follow. The next book is coming very soon!
