A Midnight Lynching: Dead Man out of Yuma: Blood for Blood: Part 1 of 2 by Jeff Breland
Mark Robichaud killed a lot of bad people while avenging the fact that he spent five years in that hellhole called Yuma Prison for a crime he didn’t commit or have any knowledge of. That seems to be pretty much behind him now. He is now sheriff of the little town of Silver Creek and his life has been fairly peaceful. He hasn’t given a lot of thought to the possibility that relatives, friends, or just acquaintances of these bad people might take it upon themselves to avenge the ones he has eliminated. Like a lightning bolt out of the sky, he suddenly realized there is more ways to hurt him than to kill him. His wife is kidnapped by two armed gunmen. Now he and his deputy are pursuing the varmints in the darkness.
Not far away, a young cowboy with a bad leg that he acquired as a child in an orphanage has just hire on with the B Bar J ranch. To make his life even more gratifying, he has fallen in love with the boss’s granddaughter and she had fallen head over heels for him. Like his gimp leg, the granddaughter also has a slight affliction. Luke couldn’t care less. As far as he’s concerned, he got a little piece of Heaven right here in Arizona. That’s about to all come crashing down. To make matters worst the local undersheriff intends to make him a patsy for a crime he did not commit.
Before this is over, all of their lives will converge
