A Wicked Lie: A Courtesy Club Series by Amanda J Laing
This is a standalone romance, and can be read as the first book in Marco and Olivia’s story, but they are references to the characters, famiglia, from the first three books.

Eduardo Courtessio is the boss of the Courtessio K'morra, widower, and father of two young boys and a daughter. One summer, he encounters a beautiful tourist, Grace March. From the second he met her, his life is altered forever.

He embarks on a wild, reckless affair and completely loses himself to her. He proposes and begs her to marry him. When she finds out who he is, she flees Italy and never looks back. She tilted Eduardo’s world on its axis and then left.

Forty years later.

Strong, powerful, dangerous, and lethal, Marco Courtessio controls the Italian side of the Courtessio K'morra alongside his cousin, Eliodoro Courtessio.

His life is brutal, fast-paced and rewarding, gaining a vast wealth. He is attractive, suave and exudes power. No woman says no to him, no matter how little he is prepared to give them. Marco Courtessio is a commitment-phobe.

Olivia Jakes, Grace's granddaughter, is a lifestyle reporter and an aspiring novelist. Her grandmother always taught her to be sensible and never lose her heart, so she has her life all planned out. It wasn’t terribly exciting, but it is exactly how she prefers it. She liked to remain in control.

Neither path should have crossed because men like Marco never sold their story and steered clear of journalists. It is a death sentence to discuss what the K’morra does.

When Olivia is enticed to write a book about Marco's father, their worlds collide.
