Interstate/Kiss Me in the Dark (Anthology: Love Stories Inspired by Country Music) by Sonja Heisinger

For two years, Cameron Black's star has been rising in the world of country music. And for two years, he's looked out into the audience hoping to see a face he knows better than his own: his best friend and other half, Maggie Hall. But for two years––ever since Cameron left his small hometown in midland Texas––Maggie's been radio silent.

So tonight, when Cameron returns home for an intimate show in the bar where his musical career began, he's going to find out why.

The seventh track in Anthology: Stories Inspired by Country Music, Interstate/Kiss Me in the Dark is a heartwarming glimpse of the transformations wrought by fame, heartbreak, and unconditional love.

About the author:

A California native, Sonja Heisinger has lived and traveled all over the world. She published her first novel, the inspirational For He Is Summer, when she was just twenty years old. A few years later, she lost both her parents in a car accident, and her brother shortly after. To make sense of her grief, she began to draw and write voraciously. Today she is a professional artist - follow her on Instagram @sonjartsinger - and author of the bestselling Liberty Hill series, a romantic drama set during the California Gold Rush.

In 2020, she combines her affection for country music with her intimate knowledge of love and loss in a moving short story collection, Anthology: Stories Inspired by Country Music, which will be released to Kindle month by month, story by story. Follow her on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for news, release dates, and exclusive content.
