Cedar Hollow Farm: A Demeter Society Story by Amanda Schwantes

A hilarious small town romantic comedy about how far one man will go to save the place he loves...

Wes Jacquemart is living his dream life in the city when he receives devastating news: his beloved hometown library is slated for closure and he's the only one who can save it. With the clock ticking, Wes returns to the town he swore off over twelve years ago and the only woman who ever broke his heart. News this big won't stay secret in a town this small, and madcap adventures ensue as Wes tries to get someone, anyone, to take him seriously for a change.

Beatrice Delcroix, goat farmer extraordinaire and founding member of the Demeter Society for women in farming, manages her family's 19th century farm while caring for her aging parents. When the opportunity of a lifetime presents itself at the society's monthly meeting, Bea is convinced that her life is about to change for the better. The return of her first and only love complicates matters, however, as feelings that Bea had long fought to suppress come rushing to the surface.

Will Bea and Wes get a second chance at love? Can Wes save the historic library? Why is everyone eating prune pie? Find out the answers to these questions and more in Cedar Hollow Farm. It's a heartwarming romantic comedy that celebrates food, friendship, family, farming, and the path to true love. Spoiler alert: it never does run smooth.

Based in a real life Belgian immigrant community in Door County, Wisconsin and inspired by Jane Austen's last completed novel, Persuasion.

Perfect for fans of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The Bookish Life of Nina Hill, and Bridget Jones's Diary.
