To say my life was boring would be the understatement of the year. I had one goal and I was laser-focused on accomplishing it. Everything came second, even myself.
Then one day, I heard his smooth velvet voice and lost myself in his ocean blue eyes. An electric spark sprang to life igniting my whole body. One that was always there waiting to be awakened.
All of a sudden, everything was different, better. I was left struggling to try to adapt to my new norm; the vacations, the cars, the money, the looks telling me he wasn’t mine to keep.
The thing is, I already knew I wasn’t worthy. Maybe that’s why I refused to give him the last piece of me I kept locked away.
