Scandal in Churchville
Xavier Harrington
During the course of the story, Melinda deals with a number of tough situations that challenge both her tenacity and strength as a person, but her moral compass.
After give years on the force, Melinda still loves the profession of policing even as it becomes more politically correct and with more bureaucracy by the day. Her shift supervisor hates the fact that she knows the rules well enough to be able to skirt many to her advantage. Her union steward respects the work she does in keeping Churchville safe, but harbors contempt for her frequently using the system to her advantage.
The story starts to heat up when after being encouraged by several of her brothers and systems in uniform as well as her union steward, she decides to run for the position of chapter president. Now her prospective constituents have to choose between voting for her to see a change in power, or allowing their dislike of her attitude and demeanor to compel them to vote for the incumbent.
