The Troubled Wife And The Selfless Cowboy: A Clean Western Historical Romance Novel by Ember Pierce
A destitute single mother. A cowboy who wants to be loved for who he is. And an obligation that just might destroy both their lives.

Martha has known plenty of adversity. Her husband was involved in some shady dealings, which caused difficulties while he was alive. Now that he’s gone, his creditors have come looking for someone to pay his debts. Martha has no money and a son to feed. She certainly can’t be responsible for her husband’s mistakes. But it seems the thug who’s after her has different ideas.

Daniel is a cowboy out west. He’s pretty easy-going, except when it comes to love. His first sweetheart swindled him and left him. So, he doesn’t believe that a woman could want him for anything other than his money. A mail-order bride seems to be the solution to all his courting troubles. Little does he know that his new wife brings issues of her own.

Martha flees her husband’s debtor, but running from your problems never really works, does it? He follows her to her new home and Martha’s forced to beg, borrow, and steal to pay him back. She hates not being able to tell Daniel everything, but she knows that he wouldn’t understand. She has to do whatever it takes to protect her son. Her little boy’s safety matters above all else.

When the creditor threatens to destroy everything that she cherishes, she knows that it’s time to stop running from her troubles and turn and face them instead. But with the stakes so high that any misstep might mean losing their lives, it will take everything Martha and Daniel have to defeat the villain who would ruin their lives.

Will they be able to get past their relationship issues, or will they simply allow their chance at happiness to slip away?
