Home to Stay by Harper Cassidy
It's been 15 years since Chet Barnaby set foot in his hometown of Rubyville, NC or spoken to his father. Now his father has died and left him everything. But as ever with Walker Barnaby, nothing is free - if Chet wants the family business or the money, he has to stay in Rubyville for one full year. His first instinct is immediate refusal, but the idea of proving he could do it all better than his father, while also being a better person, has its appeal.

If only his high school nemesis weren't one of the lawyers handling the estate. It would be easier if Nick were the same hateful person he used to be, but he's grown into a decent man who also happens to be sexy as hell.

Nick Gallagher had never expected to see Chet again, but he's happy for the chance to apologize. Unfortunately, Chet wants little to do with him, understandably enough, so Nick will have to fight to even be Chet's friend.

That task is made more difficult as his old unrequited feelings flare back to life, only to blossom into a full-fledged passionate longing - and Nick doesn't have the first clue how to convince Chet he's worth a second chance.
