Lily's Struggle by Rebekah Fisher
A Sweet Amish Romance Series
This series revolves around the owner and employees of Kauffman’s Kitchen, an Amish restaurant in Creekside Mills, catering to English and Amish alike. The happy atmosphere has made the restaurant popular for many years. You'll meet and get to know Priscilla, Lily, Sandy, David and their friends.

This third book features Lily Shrock, the head cook at Kauffman's Kitchen. Lily has kept herself hidden away as much as she can all of her life, ever since she was first teased in the playground for the large birthmark across half of her face. The stain only grows darker as she ages, and there’s little that can be done about it – even less that her family could afford. Lily has learned to live with it, and she’s also concluded that she’s going to be alone for the rest of her life, even though she's been seeing a young man named Malachi, although he's given her no indication that he wants to marry. Who would want a disfigured wife? She's not so sure she loves him either. She’s just fine with her job as cook at the restaurant - hidden away where no one has to see her.

But when a storm blows in collapsing part of the restaurant’s roof and damaging the kitchen, Lily finds herself coming face to face with all kinds of strangers as workers come to repair the damages. She's embarrassed by the stares and hurt by some of the comments that are made. Worst of all, she finds herself falling slowly in love with one of the young men helping out, Aaron.

Aaron is very kind to her, but she's not sure of the extent of his feelings towards her. It’s all so hard and confusing - until Malachi surprises her one evening and asks her to marry him... but only under one condition. She's not so sure she wants to go along with Malachi's plan, and now she's torn. It's been her childhood dream to get married and this may be her only chance - no one may ever ask her again if she turns him down... but she doesn't love him. She loves someone else...
