Give Her the Stars (Over the Edge)

In this Christian romance with a sci fi flavor, Elise Ramos, divorced mother of two-year old Max, flees her stifling Albuquerque apartment after a distressing confrontation with her controlling ex-husband, Gabriel, and meets a handsome foreigner, Lendar Marl, on a sidewalk outside a local used clothing store. Shared lemonade at a nearby fast food restaurant segues into shared outing at the aquarium the next day. But when Lendar brings her home after a romantic supper, Gabriel is waiting, ready for a fight.

Lendar easily defeats Gabriel & Elise begins to believe that God has finally answered her prayers. But Gabriel is not one to give up. Elise knows he's capable of terrible violence--even murder. To make matters worse, Elise's friend, Bruce, questions Lendar's veracity and she is forced to admit there are some things about her new found hero that aren't quite right. Strange, inexplicable things happen around Lendar and he has amazing high tech accoutrements Elise has never seen or heard of before.

Is the enigmatic foreigner an answer to prayer? Can he keep his promise to protect Elise and Max from Gabriel? Can Elise handle the truth?
