Susan is working at the local bakery, and she’d hoped that this latest change of jobs would finally give her contentment. Her interest in baking is beginning to fade, and the job is no longer satisfying to her. Her mind often wanders causing her to make small mistakes. She'd quit, if it wasn't for Albert Rediger, who also works at the bakery. Her interest in Albert is growing, and Albert has secretly had feelings for her since their early school days.

A special occasion approaches and Susan is placed under pressure at the bakery. The bakery needs a boost of income from this special occasion for its survival. But a circumstance arises between Susan and Albert's mother, who owns the bakery.
