After her grandmother’s death, Zaida returns to her small hometown: Rock Creek, Wyoming. She helps her mother plan the funeral, and runs into her ex boyfriend, Wyatt, at every turn. Zaida spends her days overwhelmed with grief and depression, and her nights are filled with traumatic nightmares. When she suddenly gets the opportunity to leave her life in Salt Lake City behind and return to Rock Creek, she finds herself conflicted. Zaida turns to her friends, her mother, and her grandmother’s old journals for comfort and advice, but feels lost and lonely. Wyatt remains in the back of her mind. Their unresolved issues leave Zaida feeling like it’s time to try again, but can they make things work?
