The Son-In-Law - Episode III by Dick B. Long
James contemplates his conference with his psychology professor, Marsha DuBois, about his class paper. He smiles, thinking Marsha is a great reliever, a term he applies to women he uses for sex since his doctor told him he may have Satyriasis. James knows better—Aaarti, the female Shaman, had warned him of the effects of the drug. But she is still his professor, and he knows he needs a B in her course because this paper counts heavily toward his total class grade. He needs not worry, for she is more interested in him than his paper—he gets an A+.

The next day, as apartment handyman, he goes to Marjorie Comer’s apartment to repair a clogged sink. He learns how lonely she is and that she hasn’t dated since college. She has low self-esteem and needs to lose at least thirty pounds. He decides not only to take her as a reliever but as a personal project. He will need a project for his psychology class next quarter and Marjorie and her problems will make a good one.
