When an incident leaves him too injured to continue in the palace guard, he is devastated. What kind of life can he have without duty? Kristoff is a tentacle tailed merman and the general of the armies in the Kingdom of the Deep. He has very little reason to trust anyone from the other kingdoms in the Silver Isles, but the mating call is luring him to the north. How can he resist meeting who fate intended for him? When the two men meet, they discover they might just be exactly what each other needs.
