THE BEAR CAME DOWN FROM THE MOUNTAIN by Greg Kauffman-Starkey
Having run away from home at age 15 from being beaten at home and at school for being openly gay, and making a home for himself in the mountains of rural Oregon, bearded and beefy 44-year-old Foster McKnight has lived a life separate from his family and society. Summoned to the reading of the Will of his Aunt Wynona, Foster finds himself the object of interest by the estate executor and his uncle “who nobody talks about”, who has a sordid and storied sexual history. While the rest of the family distances themselves from him, these two are attracted to Foster, and he is faced with a difficult decision: pursue a relationship with one, the other, both, or neither. He is confused enough by his bourgeoning sexual side and is uncertain how to or whether to get involved in the lives of these men he barely knows. All he knows for certain is that years of being alone may be coming to an end with the unexpected twists his life takes from here on.
