Ruffled Feathers by Zoe Chant
He's caught in her trap. Literally.

Ornithologist Madison didn't expect to capture a bird on her first evening in the woods. She definitely didn't expect that bird to turn into a sexy, naked man right in front of her eyes. Not that she's complaining.

Hawk shifter Simon's task was simple. Scout ahead to check on the scientists in the nearby forest, then report back while other shifters lie low. Getting caught in a net was not part of that plan. Neither was getting freed by his fated mate. Not that he's complaining.

An ornithologist should be a bird shifter's worst enemy. But together, Madison and Simon hatch a plan so shifters and scientists can use the woods--and so they can build a nest together--no matter who has a problem with that.

And maybe they'll figure out how to create the perfect s'more along the way.

Ruffled Feathers is a short and sweet shifter romance that's the perfect quick lunch break read!
