Trackrock by Todd K. Hardage
We all make plans, we all dream about how our lives will turn out, however, plans go awry and dreams change. Sometimes dreams die, and others sprout forth to take their place. Often the growing of new dreams is more painful than the death of the old ones. Steve Bailey is faced with this awful reality when his life is suddenly and permanently changed by a tragic accident that takes the lives of his wife and two sons. He is left broken, with his young daughter, Emily, giving him the sole reason to take his next breath. Steve decides to move back to the only place that he believes will give him the peace and solitude to rebuilt the broken pieces of his shattered life, his childhood home in the misty mountains of north Georgia. A place called Trackrock. There, he slowly begins to come to terms with his new, slower-paced life. Then, something happens that will once again bring change to Steve Bailey's life. He meets a beautiful stranger named Hannah Perioli. He soon believes that she can give him a reason not to simply exist, but to live, and love, again, if only he can find a way to rid his tortured soul of the demons of guilt and pain that torment his every waking hour and visit him in nightmares every night.
