639 OAKWOOD ROAD is the story of two mill families--linked by marriage. On a spring day in 1935, their world collides with a third family, and life as they know it—changes forever.

HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA: 1934-1937. Sarah and Frank Garrett are an average married couple, struggling to raise two children in Lincoln Mill Village. When mill workers decide to strike, Frank joins the movement and is ultimately blacklisted. A few months later, he secures a new job. Frank and Sarah are making plans for the future when an unforeseen tragedy suspends everything, forcing them to live apart. Their new circumstances soon become a marital test of patience and understanding. Feeling neglected, Frank falls into an alluring trap set by a young girl and her insidious father.
