Turned Out By A Savage White Boy by Sha Jones

Love is blind, but it also comes in different shades. Norriel, a beautiful Houston native, finds that out very quickly when she stumbles into the arms of an edgy white boy named Cree.

After physically witnessing her boyfriend Broderick’s betrayal, Norriel vows never to give her heart away again. However, she can’t seem to shake the way Broderick makes her body feel. Ruled by lust, Norriel backtracks and goes back to her ex, only to learn her lesson again.

While trying to recover from a broken heart, Norriel leans on her best friend Robert B., who just so happens to be the boyfriend of her cousin, Jenica. Jenica has always been jealous of her cousin’s platonic relationship with Robert B.

One day, Norriel is indirectly introduced to Cree. Although she only has eyes for black men, Cree is too irresistible to look away from. In the process of getting to know Cree, she falls in love with his swag. He’s charming, exotic, and edgy. Cree has so many exciting elements to him, it sends Norriel spinning in a whirlwind of lust. She’s starting to believe that the grass just might be greener on the other side.

Unfortunately, not everyone is happy for Norriel. Robert B. is carrying secrets that could potentially ruin his childhood friendship with his best friend. He doesn’t like the new relationship between Norriel and Cree, and if they don’t tread lightly, someone could get hurt. However, Cree isn’t backing down. His rowdiness causes Robert B. to retreat, but it doesn’t put out the jealousy that’s burning inside of him.

Now that Broderick no longer has a tight grip on Norriel’s heart, he makes a decision that could shake the table and send all of the chips falling.

Norriel can’t seem to catch a break from those closest to her. The only one that makes her feel good and soothers her soul is Cree. Unfortunately, with a new love comes consequences and betrayal that no one will ever see coming.
