Champagne Urn: A story of cruising, love, and loss... by Robert Vos
Alvaro has always wanted to cruise the Caribbean, the television ads that he had seen for years kept beckoning him. His wife of thirty-five years was not as enthusiastic, and it was not until she passed away that he was able to take his first cruise. Not only did he enjoy cruising, but he decided to become a Gentleman Host, a paid position on the ship requiring him to dance with unescorted ladies as well as perform other duties on the ship. His dancing prowess makes him a desirable commodity with the ladies on and off the dance floor. The adventures of Alvaro as a Gentleman Host, and what happens to him after he is forced to leave cruising, are the tales within this book.
