A Demon at Midnight by Juna Ratnam
Three-quarter human Daniyal Oketh Zaman is a coward, and he knows it.
So when he wakes up with a headache to the sweetest demon he’s ever met, Demonica Weekly photographers swarming the street, and four nosy grandmothers (don’t ask), he does the only thing he can think of—retreating to Earth and his work as a 3D modeller for a game company.
Then his nani and the Potentate Iscaribel summon him to host their seventh anniversary ball on New Year’s Eve, and Daniyal can’t say no.
Even if it means working with the event architect Surrith—who just so happens to be the demon he ghosted six months ago.

A Demon at Midnight is part of Parunthupuram Days, a new urban fantasy series set in a queernorm city with desi vibes.
This is a spin-off of The Vampire Stayed for Breakfast, but can be read as a standalone.
