Joel's Unexpected Love: A Sweet Amish Romance Series by Rebekah Fisher
Come and join the close-knit Bontrager family and each siblings' journey! The siblings each face trials, heartbreak, and ultimate joy as God reveals His plan for them. Each of the seven siblings must learn to trust God through times of testing, twists and turns as they are reminded of words that Jesus spoke in the book of John.

At twenty, Joel is reaching marriageable age, but his painful shyness makes it difficult for him to interact with other girls. Nonetheless, Joel truly wants to settle down with a family. He’s waiting on God to bring the perfect wife for him.

An English man, Mike Jones, a friend of the Bontragers, who owns a mechanic shop in Hopeton, agrees to take in his niece, Jill, for the summer. She just graduated from high-school in Pittsburgh, and is confused about what to do with her life. Her family insists she stay with her uncle Mike to hopefully get a new perspective on life, living in Hopeton. Jill is devastated, as this means she'll have to spend the summer away from the only thing that's important to her - her boyfriend, Rudy.

Mike takes her to visit the Bontragers for the day to see a "real farm". She befriends Rachel and Emily and even discovers a common interest between her and Joel. To her surprise, she truly loves being at the farm and comes day after day to help out in any way she can. She begins to feel a sense of purpose, but struggles between wanting to go back home to her boyfriend who is waiting for her - and staying in Hopeton.

Joel deeply appreciates Jill's help, and the two become good friends; he secretly wishes a relationship could be formed, but that would be impossible - she is English and he is Amish, plus summer is nearly over, and she'll be returning home to her boyfriend.

Will Joel ever find the wife God has planned for him?
