Jade Hodges is fed up with her controlling ex-husband, Matt. She can put the past and his antics behind her once their house is remodeled and sold. In the midst of dealing with the frustrating renovations, Matt's verbal abuse goes too far and Jade decides to flee to her family home in Graham County, NC, for a much-needed break. Jade seeks the peace and comfort that her grandparents' old home brought her as a child. Upon arriving, she is dismayed that there is a new neighbor with a bird's eye view of her once private sanctuary. Between her handsome new neighbor, her rascally cat, Jack, and a chance meeting with a lonely teenage girl, Jade's stay is about to become anything but peaceful. Within a couple of weeks, the house is full of loved ones, each coming from a different place of heartache and searching for a new start. Most of the time, an ending is just a new beginning, and she finds that if your heart will allow it, a family of friends can get you through anything.
