Soulless by Harlow Reed
PAO:
Four years ago, my husband Jonah was murdered in front of me by a sniper. Now a strange man with Jonah’s face is throwing me in the back of a black van headed for God knows where. He’s a clone, a supersoldier programmed to kill for the corporation that created him.
And he has no idea who I am.
He needs me to help him solve the mystery of Jonah’s life and death, but everything about him reminds me of what I lost. His body, his face, his voice…I’m trying so hard not to fall in love all over again. Can I learn to trust him? Is the man I love still in there somewhere? Or is he just a soulless, brainwashed killer?

DIMA:
My kind isn’t supposed to fall in love. We’re designed to do a job and follow orders. Everyone always told me that escape from the lab is impossible. But Jonah found both freedom and love on the outside with Pao, until someone put a bullet in his brain.
Call it history repeating, but I can’t get Pao out of my mind either. I’ve been told to interrogate her, find out what really happened to Jonah, but the feelings she stirs in me are undeniable. And she might be the catalyst I need to save myself and my fellow clones—the only family I have.
One small problem: she hates me. Can I prove to her that I’m more than a copy of a copy, or will the ghosts of the past keep us apart?

Soulless is an action-packed sci fi romance featuring clones, genetic engineering, corporate intrigue, enemies to lovers, a feisty labour reporter heroine, a grumpy Russian alpha hero, and found family. Contains steamy scenes, violence, and a dash of Cronenbergian horror. While there are some dark themes (kidnapping, revenge, offscreen sex trafficking), all steamy scenes are 100% consensual. Standalone story with an HEA, no cliffhangers, and no cheating.
