In the ruins of New York everyone has something to hide. After an unknown drug sends half the population into an emotionless chaos spiral, the city is cut off from the outside world. Guarded by a new form of military New York is split into three sections - The Elite, The Ruin and The Red Zone. Every thought and emotion is now monitored by the Guard. One wrong move and the consequences are catastrophic.
Ari's life changed the day she "died". With memories of life before the accident erased for her own protection, she doesn't know who to trust or if anything she remembers is real. Haunted by memories of the past, he should be the last person to have any secrets, yet finds himself with more than he can handle.
When the Red Zone is compromised and rumors of Ari's memories resurfacing reach The Elite, Theo is tasked with tracking Ari's every step, thought and emotion. In a place where keeping secrets is deadly, the pair quickly realize not everything is as it seems. Will they be able to find out the truth about their intertwined past catches up with them - or will it be too late?
After all no secret stays hidden forever....
