All Ripe Together by Ophelia Steward
Regency England is a delightful place to fall in love, but it is even better when magic is just around the corner.

Evelyn Whitney is a bright naturalist with a particular interest in making a study of spiders. No one expects frowsy Evelyn to get married because of her strange fascination with creepy crawling things. She studies her spiders happily in Kent until it is clear someone is trying to attack her. Her brother Bennet Whitney sends her away to his good friend Duke Tilney’s estate in Lincolnshire. The duke is a cold, forbidding man, who seems to want to remind Evelyn that she is not allowed in certain spaces in his estate, but she is far too taken by his handsome features to be scared off for long.

Robert Moore, the Duke of Tilney is a man who cannot allow himself to love. His family carries a terrible curse, and he refuses to pass that along to his children. He lives in seclusion in his estate Chestermoonly, seeking to trouble no one and expecting no one to trouble him. That all changes when he honors a favor for an old friend and opens his house up to a Miss Evelyn Whitney. She immediately disrupts his peace, and far more disturbing to Duke Tilney, she awakens desire and passion he thought he would never have.
