A Dead Girl's Diary by Cheyenne Sanders
Set in the year 2050—
Lucas Acker has grown up different for most of his life. His father has used him as a “show dog” since Lucas matured, and isolation is one of the only things that he had ever known before he got to go to a real high school. Through his childhood best friend, Zero Lawson, Lucas met two people: Echo Jones and Anne Greenwirth. After making new friends, he did the one thing he thought he was incapable of… he fell in love with Echo Jones. But as fast as he fell in love, he lost her to brain cancer. When his first Love passes, she leaves behind a diary filled with secrets. Who Lucas thought he knew, wasn’t who it was at all. Echo was living two separate lives, one being so much more dangerous than the other. Lucas has dealt with lies, betrayal, and daddy issues for most of his life, and he’s about to go on another path of dying trust. He’s going to find out things that he wishes would have stayed buried. The worst part has yet to begin, but Lucas’s heart is living for the thrill of it all. He wants to know exactly what Echo Jones was hiding within the shadows that led to her downfall. He knows the possible consequences of finding out the truth. He knows the blood, the lies, and the secrets that he will have to bore. So if the path of the bloody dogwood is what it takes, then he will be the one to decide if he runs it.
