Emerson by Riki Bishop
Paylin Jones is working two dead end jobs to support her father and his habits. She doesn’t want to do it, but it keeps him from getting angry at her. As long as she comes home and automatically gives him the tips she makes each night at work, he’s placated. What he doesn’t know is that she’s slowly saving enough to get out from under his roof. She’s so close, but her stash is found, and things take a turn.

Emerson Stark does nothing but work at his law firm and hang out with his brothers. It’s hard to maintain a relationship when you work eighty-plus hours a week, but all that changes when he runs into her. He then realizes that life isn’t all about working. Granted he’s always there when his family needs him, or they are having a mandatory family night. He still constantly thought about work. Sometimes change is a good thing.
