MAGNUS: REAPER-Patriots: Book Thirty-Six by Mary Kennedy
Magnus Bridges has always struggled with trying to find out who he is. Adopted at the age of three, his adoptive parents were loving and nurturing, but they didn't know where he'd come from. Feeling as though he never fit in, his safe space turned out to be as an Army Ranger, then as a member of REAPER-Patriots. When he meets Addie Patterson, his whole world is turned upside down. For all the right reasons. But another woman turns his world upside down for all the wrong reasons and Magnus won't stop until he figures out what her game is.

Adeline "Addie" Patterson is a retired police officer who finally solves the murder of her step-father and mentor. In the process, she meets Magnus Bridges. An annoying, huge, handsome, neanderthal. A lovable neanderthal, but nevertheless, a neanderthal. When a strange woman steps into Magnus' life creating chaos, Addie knows that she can help him. She swore she would never be like her mother, flitting from one man to the next, and she's kept that promise. But Addie knows Magnus is no ordinary man and she's about to show him how extraordinary he really is.
