Shade's Lady by Joanna Wylde
God Damn It! So this book was really great, and fun.
So this book was really great, and fun. I didn’t think I would like it, but I did and every time I come back to this author, her writing and story telling just gets better and better. Be afraid people, be very afraid of good story tellers.
Now the only real complaint I have is that it’s—not super short but——it’s short. Great quick read if you want this to be the first book of Wylde’s you ever read, so you can test the waters, because it basically has no spoilers and takes place away from the other clubs. (basically it’s in it’s own lil bubble, which was very nice) The pacing was great, loved the ending, left me feeling all tingly and happy, and how Shade and Mindy are thrown together to get their story rolling, is just priceless! You know it’s coming and you have a good idea of how it’ll go down, but the journey! The journey is what makes or breaks a story, and Wylde did not disappoint! It ends up being better then you can even imagine! Oh and—***small spoiler if you are still questioning of reading this book*** Wonder Woman is Mandy’s conscience!
