Heart of Stone by C.E. Murphy
This is the best blend of world building, use of mythology, mystery, and politics I have ever read.
Also, gargoyles are at the forefront of this book and honestly are amazing creatures that I shall be reading up on more after this review. Albon, (the gargoyle) was quite intriguing, and while his story is sad and painful, he never comes off as being too mopey, though I am sure it has something to do with the lovely Margrit, who happens to spark his interest and brings him fully back into the world of the living instead of the existing.
People please give this a read, my words do not do it enough justice.
