Sinner's Creed by Kim Jones

There Is No HEA

This starts out as an amazing story of brotherhood, infatuation that turns into true love, and ends like a tragic Romeo & Juliet love story. The only problem is, by the time I realized that there was no way for this story to end well, I had already passed the 80% done mark, so I sucked it up and listened till the end. The top problems with this book are #1 this ends very tragically and #2 that means it’s not romance. Romances end happily, everyone knows this. Thank god this didn’t cost me any money or a credit. (listened to the audio) Now if you want the summery of how this all ends, look farther down.

***Spoiler!***

Saylor withers away from a disease in her brain that isn’t curable, and basically dies a painful and slow death. As a result of Saylor’s death, Dirk stops feeling, and stops wanting to live, which leads him into letting an enemy MC take him out, and the next thing you know, Dirk wakes up in a version of Heaven, on a beach, with a healthy and very happy Saylor waiting to greet him. Thee mother fucken end. This isn’t—-or should not necessarily be considered romance.
