Gabrielle Weaver has spent nearly a year mourning the loss of her dear Samuel, the love of her life and father of her twin daughters. When she decides to move back to his hometown in order to be close to his family, she never realizes that everything in her life is about to change again, for her and her little girls. They are in a new school, helping her meet new people and make new friends, but because of the move, she also meets someone from her past that she never expected to see again. Her father, James Stoltzfoos, gave her up for adoption when she was just a little girl. His wife had just died and he had no idea of how to care for a small child, so he made the best possible choice that he could imagine—he gave her up to another family and moved away. Now that he’s been faced with his own mortality, James knows that it’s time to make amends with the daughter he still loves with his whole heart, especially if he hopes to create a relationship with her and his grandchildren before it’s too late.
