David and Sara reach their destination in Atar, Mauritania, with the aim of learning more about the mysterious Richat Structure in the hopes of discovering Sara’s past, and finding an inkling about what the Siblings are after. Through the trip, a gulf grows between the two friends despite the Bond they now share.

Three weeks pass, and David desperately tries to glean any information he can on Sara, but finds no success in his endeavor. All he knows is that she was taken to the Richat Structure–the Eye of the Sahara, now surrounded by a perennial, immutable sandstorm, and time is running out.
