Thicker Than Blood II: The Rahsurrection by Mary Ann Finley
Pastor Gerald Lamar Jr. is happy living a Rockwell painting life: he’s remarried, his 2 adult children are partners in their own thriving law firm, and he adopts a teenage son, who looks and acts so much like him others think he’s biological. Gerald convinces his entire family to move to Dallas when he accepts a senior-pastor position at a semi-mega church. Trouble comes double-barreled 3 years later, when a senior administrator is caught embezzling thousands of dollars from the church’s coffers. The perpetrator threatens fatal violence against the Lamar family, and Gerald goes full throttled into protection mode. Will he be successful?

Tip Collier, Gerald’s older half-brother, has been a single father for 7 years. When the mother of his son dies, he gets a strange visitor who seems harmless; however, his 30 years of private investigator experience keep Tip on guard. He vows to keep his son safe by any means necessary, which tempts him toward returning to his old gangster ways.

As the patriarchs of the Lamar family, Gerald and Tip won’t rest well until they know who is a friend, who’s an enemy, and enemies are imprisoned or terminated. What neither of them realizes is there’s a stalker in the shadows, who considers himself the Lamar family’s guardian angel. The question remains—is he a friend or foe? Only time will tell.

When the smoke clears who will be left standing?
