The Pregnant Bride’s Surprise

Nancy Jenner was walking home after taking care of her "second mother" when a devastating attack by two drunken sailors leaves her pregnant. Almost as horrifying was her parents' reaction to the incident. Afraid of the shame and scandal they suggested - if not ordered - Nancy go out West and start a new life as a mail-order bride.

In what looks like a godsend, Nancy finds an ad in the Matrimonial Times from a man named Evan Stone who wants a fertile bride and even says a woman currently pregnant would be accepted.

Sensing his letter is the only chance for a decent life, Nancy accepts. But she is about to find that in the West life will give her another nasty surprise. Evan already has a wife but one who is most likely barren. He actually wants the child Nancy is carrying and is not looking for a wife.

Evan has not been honest with his wife Rosie either. Desperation has caused him to make terrible mistakes. When Nancy arrives at the Stone ranch, and the truth comes out, there is a reckoning.

What will happen to the baby that Nancy is carrying? Can Nancy find love, hope and happiness out West? Will Evan and Rosie be able to have a child to care for after all? How will these men and women's faith in the Lord affect their relationships?
