Roots Before Wings

Jada is a mountain hollar witch and a child bride, though very little of girlhood remains in her heart or body. A victim of incest, Jada is a survivor unable to face her own shadows. She longs to take root—to stand her ground against vile memories, instead of hiding from them. Spirit-touched, Jada seeks lessons and insight from the gods of her Nordic ancestors--uncomfortable, intimate lessons that force her to embrace her true self and her abuser. With Norse gods Loki and Thor as her patrons, can Jada sink roots before spreading her wings in reclamation of her true self?
