Later that night, Harlow doesn't know if it's the wine or hot chocolate, but as she's looking at old family photographs from Christmases past, the nostalgia consumes her. Harlow decides, with a little encouragement from Santa Claus, she's not too old to write her own Christmas letter.

Across town, Harris Porter sits in his office and remembers a time when their family hadn't had a lot of money. A time when they struggled and his parents could barely afford his pee wee hockey gear. He also remembers how their lives had changed as the family business expanded.

Now, as an executive at the company, he does everything he can to become more profitable, ensuring their family never has to go without - even if it means skipping the holidays again this year. 

So, when Harris has the opportunity to collaborate with a reputable Minnesota agriculture and feed company, and make an extremely substantial profit, it's the chance of a lifetime. His dad likes the idea too, but unfortunately for Harris, his dad also believes in the spirit of Christmas.
