The Answer To A Real One's Prayer by ML Bash
Stunna, an emotional man who loves hard and takes pain harder and his twin brother Koi are plagued by their dark past littered with infidelity, betrayal and death. With Stunna bouncing back from a bad breakup and Koi still holding on to his virginity well into his mid-twenties, the two of them are looking for a series of things, none of them dealing with love. When they’re forced to face yet another disappointment, they decide to head back to their hometown where their only two living relatives reside: their grandmother and younger cousin, Angel, and wander into the path of women who challenge everything they’d thought about love previously.
Angel, the product of an affair between the drummer of an underground band and a groupie knows close to nothing about her parents or being raised in a loving two parent home. As a well-known judge’s mistress, she’s well taken care of and finds herself enjoying her youth and someone else’s hard earned money until things quickly hit the fan.
Shawnee is the daughter of two doctors stuck in a loveless relationship and her parents’ shadow. As a med student chasing a degree she doesn’t really want, she finds herself just going with the flow of things, afraid of disappointing her parents and bringing dishonor to her family’s last name.
Jiggy and Puma are bestfriends, almost siblings, who both DJ. With Jiggy being raised by her mother’s first husband after her death and Puma on a completely different side of the country from his parents, the two of them become extremely close relatively quickly. Puma’s career is taking off while Jiggy on the other hand is still trying to figure out what she’d like to do with her life.
Six people with completely different thoughts on the way relationships should unfold find themselves quickly in whirlwind romances accompanied by trust issues, mistakes, dauting pasts and a burning desire to chase love or at least what they think it should look like.
