The Silver-Haired Banshee by Shey Saints
Apollo’s ordinary life in Summerland Townsville changes when a beautiful woman moves into their neighborhood. Mesmerized by her stunning looks, Apollo urges his friend, Gab, to help him meet her. In return, he promises him a singing gig at Dulcimer, the famous music joint in town. They conspire a coincidental meeting with the new neighbor by stalking her. After succeeding in their mission to meet and get the new neighbor’s name, they drive over to Luke’s place to discuss the Dulcimer gig. To Apollo and Gab’s dismay, they see Betha, the new neighbor, right in front Luke’s window, wearing a gray cloak. Soon, Betha’s long dark hair turns to silver, and her beautiful face transforms into an old hag. Betha shrieks her lungs out for what seems to be the longest one minute. Once the ear-splitting sound halts, Apollo and Gab are petrified as they witness her looking straight at them, so they run for their life.
