Wild Poppy by Victoria Johns
Codename: Agent Poppy
Mission: Infiltrate the enemy to gain information
Purpose: To aid military operations

Poppy never thought of herself as a casualty of war. She was serving her country. She was proud to do so. The problem was they never intended for her to come home.

Escaping death at the hands of both her captors and her country, Poppy has been given a chance at freedom. The man who gave it to her - the one sent to kill her. The condition; that she never contacts him and can’t return to her homeland, the country she served.

Embracing her second chance, Poppy makes a new life, living remotely in the Scottish Highlands with nothing but an adopted dog for companionship. It’s simple and free, and she has no expectations, least of all to fall for the mysterious motorcycle rider who becomes her neighbor.

He’s the one who helps her to trust again. He’s the one who can bring her back to life. He’s the man who makes her heart beat faster.

But, what if Poppy isn’t the only one looking for a second-chance? What if she’s not the only one hiding a terrible truth? What if even together they can’t dig deep enough to forgive the sins of their past?
