To Kiss an Earl by Charlotte Lamb
In a stifling world of social etiquette, Charlotte has one glaring fault – a mind of her own. She refuses to be sold off in marriage as her family insists, for no man has ever captured her attention!

Not, that is, until she encounters the wildly attractive Earl of Mawdsley. One glance from his brilliant blue eyes gets her pulse racing and her body tingling with shock. Marriage to such a man would not be a hardship, she guesses.

In fact, there’s only one problem with the dangerous earl.

He’s engaged to be married to her cousin, Julia!

How far is Charlotte prepared to go to satisfy her own desires? Because, by flirting with the earl, she’s also flirting with social ruin...

Slowly, those disturbing eyes moved over her raised face, lingering on her mouth, before they travelled assessingly down to her bare shoulders...

She caught her breath, and the eyes came back to her face. A mocking smile touched his mouth. She hoped, wildly, that he could not hear her heart beating. It seemed to her to be thundering so loudly, that he must hear it.

“You need not run away from me as if I were the devil, you know,” he murmured, and her skin burned with embarrassment.
