Our main character Beth Papadakis and friend Helen end up in the middle of a shady criminal dealing in Spain while on vacation and have to fight to escape. There is mystery and suspense the entire time. The ending is great but there is a part that leaves you hanging.

"Payback" is another adventure with Beth Papadakis. Beth returns to Spain to help Nick, who called saying he had been shot. Unfortunately, Nick and Miguel were still trapped in the shady dealings that they could not escape from and Beth gets trapped in the action again! There are more kidnappings and deadly happenings as Beth and her friends try to rescue other people. I loved it. I loved the way the author described everything – the hotel in Spain, the water, the countryside… Great writing and you can picture the setting and the action in your head as you read."
