Summer, of Wyoming by Gary Wayne McDonald
Summer had enjoyed living an uncomplicated, independent life as the owner of the SunRise Hotel in High Meadows, Wyoming. But the morning that her father disappeared while out riding his horse, everything changed. Even her casual suitor, Marty, seemed to become more aggressive towards her and his career. And when her Uncle “Hawk” was attacked, she began to suspect she was in for the fight of her life.
But when a mysterious, handsome stranger passed through town suspected of being a “hitman”, interesting events began to happen.
Recently released from his military assignment, Cody had returned to his home in Massachusetts. However, the same ethical issues with his father remained about running the family business. Neither one relented during their continual heated discussions. Unable to find any common ground in which to begin negotiations, Cody determined he needed isolated time to re-evaluate his career aspirations. Packing his bags in the trunk of his car, he started a cross-country trip in search of “piece of mind.” What he found in the quiet, seemingly friendly town of High Meadows was just the opposite.
And at the center of these disruptions was Annie. An attractive, manipulative, woman who would stop at nothing to get what she wanted. No matter what the cost.
