Resorting to a Rockstar: Mountain Ridge Resort by Stormi Wilde

Nyla

Believe it or not, I met my soulmate after he slid into my DMs.

I know. Weird.

Maxwell is the quintessential hot nerd. He’s sweet, patient, humble and the guy who will sweep you off your feet and save you from those annoying alpha holes.

He is everything, but there’s one problem.

We’ve never actually met in person, and every time I’ve tried, he has an excuse as to why it can’t happen. The last thing I need to be doing right now is chasing some random guy I met on the internet. Plus, I’m wondering if he’s even who he says he is.

But there’s just something about the way Max talks to me. It sings to me and I’m obsessed with him. I’m so ready to lock him down I throw caution to the wind and book an amazing few days at the Mountain Ridge Resort, eager to finally see him and solidify us as a couple.

So you can imagine my heartbreak when Max never shows.

Instead, a Rock-God stands in his place, claiming he’s the one I’ve really been talking to.

I can’t believe it; I can’t believe him.

My best friend’s brother f*&king catfished me.

Finn

It seemed like a good idea.

Make up a fake profile, send Nyla Westbrook a friend request and become internet friends, even though I’ve known her in person for most of my life.

Then again, anything sounds like a good idea when you’ve spent the last two hours getting bombed with your bandmates, whining about the only woman who won’t give you the time of day.

The “Max” profile was supposed to be a harmless way to get to know Nyla better and get close to her. But she’s been asking to meet “Max” and because I can’t bring myself to disappoint her, I leave her hanging every time and it kills me.

Now, she says meeting her at The Mountain Ridge Resort is my last chance to prove myself. One I can’t afford to waste. Somehow, I have to convince Nyla not to hate me, that I’m still the guy she was falling for, and our one night together over a year ago wasn’t an accident—or a mistake.

The next few days have to be perfect… because like she said, this is my last chance.
