Consider It Pure Joy by Sherrie Dawn
Although small town English teacher, Leah Morgan, is committed to making a difference for her students both in and out of the classroom, she is playing charades with her life. She looks like a Christian, acts like a Christian, and talks like a Christian, but she is on the run from her Savior. After her fiancé was killed in a car wreck on their wedding day, Leah inadvertently buried her relationship with God along with her future. That her fiancé came from a prominent, wealthy family in Kansas City and reporters chased her relentlessly from the city with cameras for an exclusive story was no help. She finds solace in small town life and goes through the motions of daily life, but sleepwalking reveals her turmoil.

When handsome Derrick Logan, editor of Kansas City's Society magazine, decides to run an education series on urban versus rural education and begins his notes in her small town of Benton, Leah knows she must keep her distance. But how will that be possible when her superintendent offered up the cabin on her property as accommodations for him while he writes and interviews?

Consider It Pure Joy is a story of trust, forgiveness, and acceptance. Faith is a journey, and although the pain in life can feel unbearable at times, it is the trial that makes a person stronger, capable of perseverance and moving to the next level of faith.
